7 Layer Dip

7 layer dip has been around forever it seems. Layering favorite Mexican food ingredients so you get them all in one luscious bite just makes so much sense. I like to flavor the beans so they really stand out. This appetizer recipe is so easy to remember because you will need the same amount of almost all the ingredients. It can be a little tricky to layer the salsa evenly over the sour cream so blob spoonfuls of it all around the edges first and then some in the center too. Enjoy dipping tortilla chips in this unforgettable mixture of flavors!

7 layer dip ready to eat.

Seven Layer Dip

16 ounces refried beans

1 tsp salt

1 Tbsp salsa

1 cup guacamole

1 cup sour cream

1 cup salsa

1 cup cheddar cheese finely grated

1 cup sliced black olives

1 cup chopped fresh tomatoes

Combine beans, salt, and Tbsp salsa in large bowl. Stir until light and easy to spread. Scoop beans in center of 9”X13” glass dish. Spread them evenly to the edges. Do the same with guacamole and sour cream. For salsa, drop spoonfuls right along the edges of the pan on top of the sour cream and then in center. Spread evenly over the sour cream. Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the salsa (should completely cover salsa), then olives, then tomatoes. Chill completely.
