Classic Crockpot Appetizers
Sweet and Sour Sausage Balls
 2 lb. pork sausage (mild or spicy) 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 1/4 cup ketchup 2 Tbsp soy sauce 4 tsp fresh lime juice 2 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped (you can substitute 1 can pineapple) Heat large skillet to medium/high heat and spray lightly with cooking spray. Form sausage into desired size balls and place in skillet. Brown evenly on all sides. Place the balls in crockpot. Mix remaining ingredients together in bowl and pour over sausage balls. Mix gently and cook on low for 3 to 5 hours. Mix these crockpot appetizers gently occasionally. Serves eight.
Kielbasa Appetizer Recipe
 1 large kielbasa 2 strips bacon, chopped 2 tsp flour 1 can sauerkraut 1 apple, chopped 1 Tbsp brown sugar 1/4 cup white wine 1/4 cup apple juice Slice kielbasa into 1/2” pieces. Place kielbasa and all other ingredients into crockpot. Cook on high for about one hour and then turn to low. Cook on low for 5 to 8 hours and enjoy. Serves about six.
Cheesy Crockpot Appetizers
Crockpot Fondue
 1 cup white wine 1 Tbsp butter 1 Tbsp white all purpose flour 2 2/3 cup grated cheddar cheese 2 2/3 cup grated gouda cheese Pour wine in small sauce pan and bring to a boil. At the same time, melt butter in another saucepan and whisk in flour. Stir constantly for 5 minutes taking care not to burn. Pour wine into butter and flour mixture and whisk together until smooth. Slowly add the cheese and stir until completely melted. Transfer cheese mixture to Crockpot and put setting to keep warm.
Mexican Dip
 1 lb ground beef 1 small onion chopped 2 1/2 cups salsa (use your favorite) 1 lb Velveeta cheese On medium/high heat, brown ground beef with onion in large skillet. Drain. Place meat and onion mixture into the crockpot and add salsa. Cube the cheese and mix it into the crockpot. Cook on low heat and stir occasionally until cheese is melted. Turn the crockpot to keep warm. Serve in crockpot or transfer to serving bowl.
Fun Crockpot Appetizers
Reuben Dip
 2 cups sauerkraut 1 cup cream cheese, softened 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese 2 cups corned beef, chopped 1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing Mix all ingredients in the crockpot. Heat on high until Swiss cheese is melted, stirring occasionally. Turn to keep warm. Serve in crockpot or transfer to serving bowl. Goes great with any bread especially rye.
